GaltScat (196), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Feb 5, 2008 King Fisher is the Budweiser of India. Of course, they also sell Budweiser in India and Fosters. That’s about it. Good beer does not exist in India. I’m not sure why they call it Light. Perhaps because it tastes more watery than the lager and has a lesser alcohol content. Pub (4125), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Oct 14, 2007 Bottled, 500ml, at Mem Saab’s, Banbury. Yellow straw with white head. Well I had to try it. Eggy aroma, light biscuity lager, went ok with Punjabi Chicken. It was a palate cleanser at best. Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Nov 20, 2006 In the bottle in at New India Restaurant in DC. Pale yellow in color with a marginally nice head. Aroma muted of faint hops and graininess, but definitely not skunked! Bland and wet, but neutralized a spicey plate of lamb masala quite well. Harmless, and difficult to discern from regular Kingfisher. Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jun 29, 2006 12 oz bottle- looks like the regular verion and brewed in saratoga. Pours a slightly hazy straw yellow with a thin white head- dissipates fast though. Aroma is very light- some dms, corn, light cardboard cracker malts and light bread. Flavor is cardboard crackers and more dms. Very bland overall. zach8270 (1421), Henrietta, New York, USA Mar 24, 2006 (bottle - 12 oz) Light straw color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is very light and very grainy with some corn and metallic hints in it as well. Very sour taste at the front but strangely sweet after that. The finish is dry, grainy and kind of corn flavored. Very thin and watery.
