Coffee dregs, damp cellar, musky berry and mouldy Twiglet aroma. Mildew on milk chocolate, heartburn flavour. Slippery and acidic. Damp to the point of unpleasantness, but better with the bits tipped in. Blood droplets, dash of marzipan. Ends up a decent, soily, mild-like specimen with splashes of sour. Feel a bit sick.

Aroma of woody malt, fresh floral hops, cocoa and caramel. A really nice, nutty, biscuity taste with roasted malt and cocoa notes. Some caramel sweetness and a moderately bitter finish. A very enjoyable brew which I’d absolutely have again. Fin (3423), Merton, Oxfordshire, England

Lovely dark flavours, full of roasted malt, chocolate roased notes with a yeasty, in a good way, impact. Then a flowery hop, would they have had this in Tudor England?, with an underlying citric note. I must admit that the two Kingstone beers I have had so far have been very good.
