onlyrocknroll (218), Cork, Ireland Aug 14, 2007 Bottle. Big aroma of choclate and coffee. Unfortunatly these same roasted flavours come across far too bitter on the palate. Unpleasant thick mouthfeel also. Not nice. bitbucket (1572), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear blackish brown with a fluffy, lacy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and brown sugar with hints of vanilla and hops behind it. Medium-to-light body and moderate carbonation. Lightly sweet taste of coffee and chocolate with a roasty, almost ashy dry finish. I wish I could have tried this one on tap. Ah, well... burren (3), Ireland does not count Jun 16, 2007 this is dissapointing why bother making bland tasteless stout when you can already get plenty here dont waste your cash on this Dickinsonbeer (2550), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Jul 27, 2006 Pint at the brewery. Very similar to murphys I guess. Pours a darker color than guinness- this one is actually close to being black. Nice creamy head too. Aroma is toasted andn roasty malts with nice coffee hints. Flavor has a nice touch of caramel malts but also has a nice sharp roasty finish. Pretty good sweet stout especially compared to all the other crappy stouts of Ireland.
