downender (1616), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Dec 29, 2007 Cask at the Pig’s Ear beer festival. Gold coloured with no head. I found this very hoppy as well, with a strong grapefruit and resin aroma, followed by strong hop flavours with only a hint of sweet malt. The finish was mouth puckeringly dry. Having said that, It was pleasant as a one-off experience. Mes_and_Sim (4477), Highgate, Greater London, England Dec 26, 2007 A Sim rate (cask at Pig’s Ear BF): Ridiculously hoppy aroma that’s citricly buttery butterscotch. Much much too citric in the flavour too... like drinking lemon juice. I think Lynn brewed this while she was pissed on her 50th. Awful! Sorry Lynn. Hope it was a good one! Refreshing, very drinkable, sweet body and piney hops that go on into the finish. Look like a lager, but it’s certainly not!
