AskForJenny (626), Ontario, New York, USA Jan 24, 2007 Intriged by the idea of a dark light I tried it. Fizzy, limp amber with no head and no depth. It was fine, but way past my price point. There is NO WAY I’ll pay $6 for a sixer of this. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Mar 1, 2006 (bottle - 12 oz) Another one of those beers that I didn’t think was still being produced. Light amber color with a decent amount of fizzy white head. Aroma is a mix of malts, dry hops, boiled cabbage and sweat. Kind of heavy smelling. The taste began alright with a decent malt and hop taste but then the middle of it was kind of sweaty and greasy tasting. Very odd to explain, but it didn’t taste all that great. Kind of dry and a little bit sour with some malts near the end. Pass. jb (1023), Rochester, New York, USA May 22, 2005 Kudos for looking marginally like a good beer and the malty palate. But too light overall with not enough going on. Ron (1000), Rochester, New York, USA May 21, 2005 Large amount of foam that did not stay long. Color was a trasparent brown/amber. Flavor of some hops with corn and malt. Smooth and very drinkable. Even though it’s dark, it’s still a thin light beer. Better than most lights. GonZoBeeR (2154), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada Nov 27, 2004 nez:discret peut etre un peut malte
gout:legerement sucre beurre un peut.
Rondeur tres peut perseptible.
wu1sabes (18), USA May 11, 2004 easy to drink, i could see drinking 12 or so at a time no problem, light but with superb flavor, very smooth yet dark, unique. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Feb 7, 2004 Light amber in color with a small white head.Hop and malt balance, but the hops are stale and lingering. The finish is very boring, nothing impressive. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jan 30, 2004 Clear orange color with a virtually nonexistent head. Stale plastically aroma with hints of cardboard, thick but not good mouthfeel, sweet in a bad way in the ending.
