Tall boy can. Pours a golden yellow with white head. Taste is of sweet malts, with a little bit of alcohol in the finish. Better than most Japanese macros.

Oct 3, 2009 Can, hope this will make my 22 hour travel day go away. Golde, ok creamy head, pearling bubbles. Light grainy, peanutty aroma. Nutty, leafy, unobstrusive, ok balance, with a hint hop aromatics and a dry grassy finish. Chewy enough body, Light citric retronasal.

Sep 11, 2008 Clear yellow with a moon-like colour of the head (which is fitting considering Japan’s association with the moon and Autumn). Billowy, pillowy head, yeasty, slightly banana, fruity smell. Taste is a bit more on the malty side than their usual brew but overall this is a simple minded drinking affair.

Oct 16, 2007 Clear golden lager. Aroma is slightly hoppier than your normal Japanese Pale Lager. Sweet malts also show through. Flavor is light sweet malts, some hops, maybe a hint of fruits. Finish has a nice hop bite. Watery, but nice body. Pretty suprised with this beer. The finish really sets it off. I wish it wasn’t a seasonal.

Dec 3, 2006 Full name: "Akiaji Specially Limited Autumn Brew". Can. Dark yellow colour. Aroma of sweet malts some hops. The flavour is malty, bit fruity and with a sweet cramelish finish. I was surprised how good this actually tasted after buying it from a Lawson some night in Hiroshima. Not bad at all.

Sep 15, 2006 Now that I’m living in Japan it looks like I’ll be rating a hell of a lot of pale lagers. Not really my favorite style, but here goes... Poured a reasonably attractive clear golden color, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of malt, corn, rice... a tiny bit of hops. Flavors were pretty predictable for the style: malt, hops, corn, rice, a general sweetness. The hops were more prominent at the finish, which was probably this beer’s only redeeming quality. Very watery. I probably won’t drink this one again.

Mar 12, 2005 Missed rating this during the Autumn and thought I’d have to wait another 7-8 months to get this one. But I managed to find a bottle in a small local store. :-) A medium to deep Gold with a white head. Some hops but mostly corn flakes in the nose.
A slightly sweet brew with strong corn flavor and light floral hops. Leaves a bit of a sticky feel. Goes rather good with the thick soups "Nabe" popular in this part of Japan.
