zebracakes (1051), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 3, 2007 Pours slightly hazy gold, white head. Aroma is sausage and wheat. Flavor is slightly spicy with an aftertaste of corn on the cob, but in a good way. faroeviking (4713), The Autonomous Beer Republic,, Faroe Islands Dec 3, 2006 Maroyaka Koobo Premium. Bottle with a rip off cap. Bit hazy yellow colour with a white bubbly head. Aroma of malts and hops. Flavour of malts, bit sweetness, somewhat wheaty aftertaste. A pretty ok beer actually. DarkMagus (414), San Jose, California, USA Oct 22, 2006 Hazy golden color with a bit of sediment on the bottom of the bottle, which I was surprised to see. A huge white and foamy head--made me suspect some chemical enhancement (as I always do when encountering generally "good" qualities while sampling a macro-made product). Sweet grassy, hoppy aroma, with a tiny bit of malt. Certainly an interesting aroma for a beer of this style. Decent flavors, but nothing too interesting: sweet, grassy, hoppy, and a tiny bit malty. Not bad at all, considering this was produced by a macrobrewery... TimE (1111), Tokyo, Japan Apr 11, 2005 This hazy golden beer doesn’t know what it wants to do. It has a yeasty mouth with some cloves and is slightly tart and has a light finish. Usually Kirin’s beers are well made, this is not.
IslandHaole (1031), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan Nov 27, 2004 This is a "keep-chilled" beer with a 60 day shelf life. This was bottled on 11/9. A hazy yellow brew, like a hefeweizen. Yep mark, loads of sediment. Has almost a skunky scent, herbaceous, grassy, hoppy. A grassy start with a sweet candyish finish. Nice to have a decent brew made by a macrobrewer.
