TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Nov 7, 2009 Bottle. Amber pour. Short white head. Aroma is caramel, grassy hops, light toffee, fruit and nuts trail mix and buttery biscuit. Taste is sweet malt, caramel, fruit and nut trail mix and light grassy hops. Body is medium with a bubbly carbonation. Ends with more caramel, light toffee, dried fruit, nuts and grassy hops. Not too bad! yobdoog (1420), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Nov 5, 2009 Brown with a small head. Aroma is grassy, earthy, musty, corny. Not at all pleasant. Flavor is for the first time in a while, almost undrinkable. Like cooked vegetables and corn. BelgianBeerGal (1274), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Oct 28, 2009 Local bottle. Clear brown colour with a medium foamy, khaki head, lots of carbonation and decent lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and apricot. Pretty clean taste but maybe a little metal in the middle. Some hops and bitterness pop up in the aftertaste. Decent considering the source. PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Oct 18, 2009 Tallahassee, Fl - Costco - 12 oz bottle - part of a 24 bottle variety pak for $18.99 - not a bad deal. Medium copper pour with a slight bubbly white head. Aroma has some toffee accents, some tootsie-roll like cheap chocolate and a hint of wort. Flavor has some toffee, a hint of chocolate and some ripening vegetable notes. Mouthfeel is slightly metallic and starchy. Not bad for the price and my fridge is full of beer for a few weeks! GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 16, 2009 Thanks to Sam for the fun. Smell is horrible, like a porto-potty. Flavor isn’t much better. Trying to be a typical macro-lager but it even fails at that. Plus, I don’t know what part of Germany they make crappy beers like this in, but remind me not to go there. redlight (1445), Winter Park, Florida, USA Oct 15, 2009 Sulphury lager aromas, grains with traces of caramel. Pours golden blonde, crystal clear. Actually not as bad as i thought it would be. There’s really just not a lot of flavor, cereal grains, mild caramel, with little hints of grassy hops. SoLan (1369), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 15, 2009 Gold. White carbonation. Stale grains and a bit of petting zoo on the nose. Flavor adds some biscuity elements. Basic lager. Walking a tigh rope between offensive and not. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Oct 15, 2009 Bottle. Amber beer with a cream colored head. malt and light grass aroma with light mineral notes.
