The third beer on the second day of RBESG 2008. <br />Dark brown (almost black) coloured, small beige head, caramel nose. Roasted malt taste with notes of chocolate, caramel and fruits. Very smooth with soft carbonation.

On tap. Hazy dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy beige head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts and a little coffee. Medium body, sweetish roasted malts, flower accents and a light underlying fustiness, but nothing to spoil the overall picture. Very subdued bitterness. 280608

on tap at the brewpub. Hazy deep dark brown, nearly black colour, large beige head. Malty nose. Full-bodied with flavours of roasetd malt, caramel, chocolate... Very malty, but not too sweet. This is balanced perfectly. I could drink this all night long.

[on tap at brewpub] Roasty aroma with vanilla and a little sweet malt. Opaque brown with a tawny sheet on top that dots the glass as the beer is consumed. Almost sherry-like roasty/toasty flavour with definitely some hops in there. Smooth, medium body, moderate carbonation, clean finish.
