Aroma is moderate yeasty, citrus, banana, vanilla. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery. A good weizenbier ;o))
MoritzF (4046), Ruhrpott, Germany Mar 20, 2007 (bottle) Hazy, orange colour with a fluffy foamy white head. Dusty, sweet, moderately wheaty aroma with cloves, a touch of vanilla and a rather restrained fruit-character of light notes of banana. Medium-sweet flavour, medium bodied, well-carbonated mouthfeel. Yeasty taste with a solid wheat-character, restrained fruity with stronger clove phenols. Medium-dry, wheat-malty, slightly fruity finish with vanilla and dominating clovy notes. Lacks a bit of balance towards the fruitiness. Still pretty drinkable. motelpogo (4360), Plzen, Czech Republic Feb 10, 2007 bottled. hazy orange, persistent fluffy head. fresh and wheaty aroma with traces of lime zest, vanilla and clove. every sip revealed a new flavour - wholemeal bread and butter, salted orange, almond meal. luscious texture - spritzy but then disappearing. plenty of tingling sourness, some rummy alcohol, a fantastic sour-dry finish. the best weizen i’ve tasted in ages wastl (113), Germany Jan 9, 2007 Bottled. Fresh and lively to the palate. Lots of yeast. Strong fruity and wheaty aroma. One of my favourite Weizen.
