ciderguy (97), Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 24, 2004 Nose was somewhat weak. Sort of a conditioned smell. Not natural. Apple sweetness nonetheless. Impressive pour, thick full head rivaling that of most beers. Slowly dissipating into a standard light fizziness. Taste is sweet like green apple hard candy. Slightly smoother finish than the first taste, but still a bit biting. Not the best, not the worst. Worth a try should you happen across it. A toast to ante for sending this my way to review for you.
yespr (6944), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 26, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours clear golden and with no head. Sweet apple aroma, slight candy like. Flavour is mild acidic with a litte hidden sweetness and apple flavour. Ends with a slight acidic touch. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 18, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Clear, pale golden with a small, white head. Swett/sour apple nose. Medium body with distinct apple flavours and a vague, underlying sweetness. Quite a decent cider in the borderland between farmhouse and a more commercial cider. 171207 faroeviking (4414), Faroese Autonomous Beer Republic, Denmark Dec 17, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear pale golden with a short fizzy white head leaving a thin lacing. Sweet bit sour apple aroma. Fair mouthfeel. The flavour is very sweet and spitzy with appless and some sourness. Discount lively apple juice. ekstedt (1958), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 24, 2007 Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Pale clear yellow whith a short-lasting white bubbly head surprisingly large for a cider. Candyish with a bit artificial apple aroma, thin and somewhat to sweet. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada May 30, 2007 System BolagetA lightweight, juicy, slightly floral, mostly bland cider with strong residual sweetness. Again, as with other Swedish examples, this takes the industrial sweet soda pop route, looking like coloured water and having pretty much the same consistency. Not even that different from the William 7% one from Kiviks also.
