After an Inbev takeover of Staropramen I recommended this to my cousin in Bautzen. He told me he pays 1/2 the price and says it tastes twice as good. Bud and Miller are good at eliminating any foreign or local beer that would have any taste.I saw this 4 one summer at .59 for a 1/2 ltr.It did not last long nor was it replaced.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, with mediumsized bubbly head. Aroma is malts and salty hops. Flavour is a lot of grass and hay balanced up with some malts. Not too bad for a Bohemian pilsener. Refreshing.

(Bottled) Clear, golden color with a smallish head. Malty, buttery and softly hoppy aroma. Grassy-hoppy, fruity, balanced and quite malty flavor. Medium-bodied palate with balanced carbonation. A quite pleasant, buttery-grassy pils.

Draught at Hotel Olympic (horribly expensive beer) in Prague.
Golden color, shite creamy head. Not much scent (perhaps due to smoke in the room), a bit malty smell perhaps. Hoppy taste, refreshing. Rather big bitterness. Medium to big body. Bitter in the aftertaste.

Golden colored, little white head. Butter, grass, sweetness and some positive glue tones in aroma. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is thinner: mildly buttery, flowery, finely hopped and dry ending.

(bottle) Clear amber colour with a medium sized frothy, minimal off-white head with nice lace. Rich malty aroma, slightly sweet (honey) and a bit nutty. Well balanced initial sweet maltiness, soft & bitter hoppiness on a medium body with an almost creamy texture. A good one.

Golden colour. Thick, creamy head. Buttery, meaty aroma. Malty flavour with notes of salty liquorice. Grassy, bitter finish. A pleasant pilsener.

On draught at Dolni Bousov: Clear golden coloured, off-white firm head, lacing and lasting; strong fruity (honey) nose, traces of malt and shy floral hoppiness; mild bitter-sweet flavour, well rounded; short bitter-sweet aftertaste with a tinge of bread; well drinkable, refreshing.........
