Crisp and clean, with a nice hoppy bite throughout, with some nice carbonation levels, and light acidity. Well balanced and very crisp. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Pours a sparkling medium golden, with a thin, but long lasting white head, decent lacing. Grassy aroma with a hint of saaz hoppiness. Flavor has a touch of honey, some cake mix and yeast. Slight peppery back end end with a hint of creaminess in the mouthfeel. Not bad at all. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 2, 2006 Musty, stinkmalt aroma. Brown bottle, fair label, clear yellow beer, melted ice cream head. Bitter, dry, slightly metallic, somewhat astringent. Very much in the heart of the style. Finishes off with a long, woody bittering that I found a bit unpleasant.. zombywoof (362), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Aroma of bread and grass with a hint of banana. Mild sweet malt but not much of a hop presence. More like Staropramen than Pilsner Urquell. Not my favorite Bohunk Pilsner. But to be sure I followed this up with an Urquell that was loitering in my fridge.- oh, yeah -Pilsner Urquell is much better. shrubber85 (2997), Wallhalben, Germany
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 2, 2006 Bottle. Sour barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with modetate head. Sour, stale barley malt flavor. Sweeter and more of a grainy flavor than is typical with pilseners. Not very good - just skip this one and buy an Urquell. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 24, 2006 bottle from World Market’s summer beer pack - It poured golden with a thin head that left just a little lacing. The aroma was almost nonexistent and what was there seemed grainy. The flavor was sweet, almost too much, though kind of tastey. It medium body was lightly carbonated and the finish mildly dry and hoppy. I expected more hops flavor. It’s easy to drink anyway, and seemed to improve some as it warmed. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 22, 2006 While lagers really aren’t my cup of tea (or beer), this was a good beer. A nice deep golden color, very clear, nice bubbles and a decent head. Aroma was lightly hoppy, grainy and a bit metallic too. Mouthfeel was pretty crisp. Flavor was okay with a crispness and bite to it, but it was a bit boring frankly. After about half was gone, I got super bored drinking it because it’s just not my kind of beer. It had a metallic taste going down which I didn’t like. Overall an above average beer. Nothing "Premium" about it though. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA
