| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 16, 2004 Bottled, courtesy of Tidiaguy (thanks..I guess). Alas, this was a rather skunked sample...there’s some hints of good grainy malt under it all, but it’s not pleasant for the most part. Sweet and very malty to begin with, rather metallic bitterness late; gets really bad when warm. A bit of benefit of the doubt here in the rating if you have a very cold sample; obviously this must be better nearer its country of origin or on draft. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 2, 2004 A pale brew with a full malty flavour and is also fairly bitter. Not as impressive as I had hoped for the ABV or the excellent brewery. (Draught at Pivni Galerie, Holešovice) Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 28, 2004 Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is moderately
malty (toasted bread, roasted nuts, grain), moderately hoppy (herbs, flowers). Flavor is moderately sweet,
lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, lively
carbonation. A bit grainy aftertaste, but a decent Czech pils nonetheless. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 31, 2004 Pours a medium/light gold color with a rocky white head. Fresh cut grassy aroma with some sweet camrelized malts. Very refreshing taste. Citrusy hop and grainy flavor with some sweet malts and green lawn flavors. Slightly bitter, dry finish. Actually, better than I had expected. Ungstrup (15414), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 27, 2004 The aroma is very light of sweet malt. The color is orange and it has a huge off-white head. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, loads of hops, and hints of grass and caramel. It ends on a good bitterness. JPDIPSO (4935), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2004 Bottle. Dark, slightly hazed golden liquid with a solid lid of off white bubbles. Heavy, near meaty, malt aroma. Hints of flowers in the nose as well. Rich caramel malt with a balanced light floral hops. Finishes with a light resin and mild caramel flavor. This maybe a touch dated. Sound like I need to seek out a fresh sample.
