(05.03.06) One pint, 0.9 oz brown bottle from DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. Poured clear reddish brown with small white head. Soft carbonation. Sweet malt and prune aroma. Medium bodied beer that starts with light malt sweetness and caramel, dried fruit (prune?), and toasted malt. Finished with light malt fade and light bitterness. Excellent drinkable malty beer.

Crystal clear coppery chestnut. Thin, dissipating tan foam. Steady big bubbled carbonation. Aroma of molasses, burnt caramel, astringent roastedness and faint spicy hops. Initially slightly foamy yet full with a rich, burnt sweetness and a gentle acidity. Medium body. Foamy nature carries the dark sweetness well. Deeply flavored, even ice cold. Mild hop bitterness. Roasted harshness stiffens as it warms but the sweetness remains firm. Finishes softer, a tad drier and better balanced. Very nice.

0.5l bottle. Clear bown, tan head. bready malt aroma. Sweet malty bready flavor. Nice malt flavors here for sure. This is a well done light beer, and the way light should be! Very smooth and malty, and not astringent.
