Bottle. Small fizzy ivory head that mostly diminished, fine, small and medium sized bubbles, sparse lacing, fast rising carbonation, transparent, and a red hue. Aroma was malty, caramel and roasty. Malty, roasty, thin flavor. Mouthfeel was tingly and thin. Light-medium body.

Sweet raisin-like aroma with a touch of smokiness. Reddish brown with a quickly diminishing creamy tan head. Nice malt profile. Malts dominate the flavor range from a mild bready flavor in the fore to a sweet roasted raisin bread finish. Again a touch of smokiness comes through, but this time int he fatertaste.

12 oz bottle - This is a pleasant, tastey, easy to drink beer. It pours with minimal head that dissipates rapidly. It’s a bit thin with a dark, sweet, roasted flavor that’s all about the malts. It could use a bit more flavor and lacks complexity, but on the other hand I could easily see drinking a few of these in a sitting, especially if it’s the local brew. Give it a try.

(500 ml bottle: $1.49 at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, CA) Not a terribly complex beer, but it’s dark and malty, my kind of beer. The flavor is mostly sweet, dark, toasty malty, some light roast, and a bit of smokiness in the finish. Bitterness is minimal, but this works very well for this beer. Sweet and malty aroma is dominant as well. Medium bodied and with light carbonation and little in the way of bitterness, it’s very easy on the palate. Medium brown and clear enough to see through. The light tan head barely rises to half an inch in height and settles to a filmy layer, but leaves fairly dense lace on the glass. I definitely enjoyed this beer and at $1.49 a bottle, this is damn good value. And at only 4% ABV, this would make a great session beer for me.

Rich fruity smell with aroma similar to plum pudding, some citrus fruits, and a small chocolate note. Rather malty taste nicely intermingled with the fruitiness. Color is a deep dark red with a small beige head. Palate is bitter and slightly dry. A good Dunkel not great but noteworthy.

Deep reddish colour with a small beige head. Sweet dark fruity aroma with a roasted malty note and a light buttery touch. Nice roasted malty flavor with hints of caramel and ripe plum. Quite bitter finish.

Bottle (from Pivni Galerie v Praze): Dark, reddish amber coloured, thin, firm brownish head, a bit lacing; sweetish malty aroma, a touch of roasted malts, shy traces of molasses and dried fruit; mainly malty, caramelly taste; sweetish malty finish with a tinge of fresh bitterness; quite full-bodied feel for a 10° (ten degree) pivo; not bad at all, easily quaffable; a fine, malt accented brew, not too sweet..........
