Bottle. Beer is total butter in the aroma. Taste has some licorice and once you get past the butter theres a decent amount of roasty malts and chocolate.

clear reddened brown medium small head. caramel roasted chocolate aroma. thin but slightly syrupy body. very sweet overall flavor, toffee and light chocolate notes, bready and a light spicy anise note. the sweetness seemed to be a little one dimensional.

Bottle from City Beer, SF. Pours mahogany with medium beige head, slight lacing. Aromas is sweet, almost cloying even, toffee, very mild dusty yeast scent and raw dark rye dough. Flavor is soft bread, lightly sweet, vanilla, cookie dough. Mildly bitter finish with czech herbal hop flavors, hop oil and doughiness in the aftertaste.

Interesting taste to this one. It was almost like it was completely missing the hops (and limited alcohol) and that missing flavor was filled in with a yeasty tinge. Otherwise, this brew was decidedly malty. A definite change from the norm.

Poured a dark color. Smooth beer, tasted of chocolate matls. The only negative aspect was the slight yeasty taste. Overall a decent beer.

Pours a dark color with a red hue. Small of white haed with no lasting power. Aroma is grossly sweet. Almost tastes like flat cola. Just terrible.
