Pours a medium brown color with little if any head to it. Light malty aroma. Taste is malty with little or no character to it. Not bad, but nothing special about it. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA
| 0.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Bottle. Brown color - no head, poured flat. No identifying aroma. Watery buttery, sour banana. This beer clearly didn’t make the trip from Czech, to beer store, to my house without problems. It turned sour and flat along the way, probably. If this is how its sposed to be I’m flabbergasted. Will only try it again if I find myself in Czechoslovakia. Shame. troopie (903), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Bottle. Poured soda brown with a thin tan lasting head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavour of malt, sugar, some chocolate. Mild unassuming finish with a bit of chocolate and hops. This is a good warm weather session lager. dchmela (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Classic dark czech lager. Big white head with reddish brown color. Aroma is a cross between nothing and cardboard. Taste makes up for lack of aroma, as is is smooth with a little sweetness. Very drinkable, but I just don’t like the aroma. unclemattie (2434), Georgia, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Never have a problem with Czech beers anytime. Good dark brown, no lingering head. A whiff of licorice aroma. Medium or less mouthfeel, quite drinkable with active carbonation. Good taste, competitive with English browns, with this sessionable ABV. nearbeer (1866), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 28, 2007 Updated: Jul 31, 200812 oz. Dark brown with ruby highlights and a small, lasting head. Aroma is marshmallow and molasses. Flavor is chocolate, marshmallow, metallic molasses and slight peppery-spicy hop finish. Palate is light medium and a bit watery, but could be a nice session beer if you love malt. Way underrated. bubbleflubber (898), Collinsville, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 26, 2007 Pours deepest ruby into the glass, with the head diminishing to a thin ring and trace lace. The nose is of chocolate, toast and sour grains. Toasted milk chocolate, wheat grain and sweet malt to the tongue, followed by a light noble hop finish. Lacks a small amount of substance (from the contingencies at work). The body is light, and the mouthfeel is a bit thin. Not bad, but there are much better dunkels out there.
