Man this wasn’t too hot. Got it because it was Czech and cheap. Poured a lean copper/brown with a thin frothy head. Not much of an aroma to it, espcially as far as appeal goes. The flavor tasteks kind of like sour corn or something having fermented badly. The palate is thin and underwhelming. Overall not too good.

Smooth and roasty with a light banana and clove ester nose. Roasty chocolate flavor in the malts with a fruity finish. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a smooth tan head. Good balance and the higher carbonation brings out fruity esters from the yeast strain.

Bottle bought at Pivni Galerie, drinking it at the hotelroom (Hotel Pav). Clear red/brown - small offwhite head. Sweetness, ryebread, cherry, plums, raisins, dried fruits, fruity. Big mouthfull, smooth mouthfeeling, Nice.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a thin off-white head. Nutty vanilla nose, with some brown sugar. Lightish body with full carbonation. Taste of brown sugar, nuts, herbal hop finish. There is something just a little unusual in the nose and taste... I just can’t ID it.

A chocolate nose! Brilliant ruby color with a finely bubbled beige head. Starts a bit thin. Starts with chocolate. Stays with chocolate. Finally a hint of dark roasted malt. Not much bitter in the finish. More of a thin chocolate porter than lager. The chocolate is not super strong, it’s just what is there.

Bottle. Pours rich and brown with an aroma of sweet Hershey’s chocolate (yes, the aroma is brand specific). Nice head and lacing. Flavor is watered-down molasses with hints of baking chocolate. Watery- almost muddy- mouthfeel. Eh, I’ll pass next time.
