Amber, offwhite head. Malty, somewhat roasted aroma. Burnt sugar and caramel. Roasted malt flavor, with some bitterness. Ok balanced but a little weak... Mild finish.

I grabbed this off the "pick-six shelf" at my liquor store. Knew nothing about it, just took a flyer. A wimpy brown pour with plenty of ruby highlights. The head was a half-inch of tight off-white foam. A tiny bit of lacing. The aroma was caramel and toasted malt. Very sweet flavor, sugar with a bit of banana, caramel and roasted malt. Wish it had more hop bite to balance it out. The beer had a very European feel to it that I’m not yet sophisticated enough to convey completely in this rating.

some lager flavors with dark wheat malt. some carmel and vanilla hints but not strong, more molasses than anything. meh. ha, but when i burp it tastes like cherries... what does that mean? lol

Dark mahogany beer with a small light tan head. Nice malty aroma. Flavor is pretty good, typical for a dunkel. Good malts, a little sweet, but also has a decent hop bill. Has a caramel and brown sugar flavor and a little bitterness. Very drinkable. I like dunkels and I enjoyed this one.

Bottle, nice aroma, good hops, very czech, good malts, quite tasty, Mouthfeel is easy very light, like a dark and sweet pilsner. Quaffable yes, I enjoyed this brew.

Brown with little head and big spots of lace. Nose is full of caramel malts, some woodiness and some bitter hops. The flavor shows more of the caramel and sweet malts. It is actually rather pleasant. The body is a bit thin and the beer finishes off rather sweetly.

The bottle poured deep amber color with ruby tint and a thin light tan head that settled immediately into a ring around the glass. Weak aroma of coffee and slightly sweet malts. A watery palate hides potential flavors and complexities. I can’t find a best before date anywhere on the bottle or the case. Carbonated and caramelly.

Bottle from A Southern Season. Pour is deep mahogany with a well carbonated white head. Nose is earthy, light malt, and bitter hops. Flavor is bitter initially, with an odd sweet flavor lingering on the palate. Normally I wouldnt pour this one down the drain, but its the end of the night and I really dont care to drink all of this. Kind of tastes like a lightly hopped brown ale. Just not my style...
