From tap. Pours dark brown with a huge light tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and light acidic. Flavour is mild fruity and light acidic roasted malt. Goes into a light dry buterish and medium dry finish.

Draught at BBF07. Had it down as 4.8%, but the ratings of this one resembles my notes better than those of the 11° which is 4.3% anyway. OK roasted aroma. Dark brown colour. Stable tan head. The flavour is quite sweet with some brown sugar and without much bitterness. On the sweet side, but pleasant enough.

Chestnut brown colour with a fairly thick (artificially so, if I may say) light brown head. Mild chocolate/toffee aroma with a slight acidic hint. Sweet sugary malts not unlike those found in South American dunkels clash with a background of somewhat astringent graininess. Light and simple is fine, but this lacks the clarity and sense of purpose that needs to go into a light dark beer in order to make it work.

Brown color. Elegant aroma of cereals with a touch of roasted malt. Medium body, evident residual sweetness, with the classic caramel/roasted malt mix, with a touch of honey and cereals. Good bitterness level. A very pleasant, above the average Dunkel.

Clear, dark red brown body topped by small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasty, nutty, caramel. Taste is quite sweet, chocolate, some roasty, caramel. Watery, light sticky body. Not bad, but too sweet.

Bottle-on the train to Pilsen. Some sweetish caramel and toffee. Some roasted malt in the finish, fairly easy going, slightly on the sweeter side.

Deep reddish colour with a small beige head. Sweet dark fruity aroma with a roasted malty note and a light buttery touch. Nice roasted malty flavor with hints of caramel and ripe plum. Quite bitter finish.
