| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Draught at BBF07. Had it down as 4.8%, but the ratings of this one resembles my notes better than those of the 11° which is 4.3% anyway. OK roasted aroma. Dark brown colour. Stable tan head. The flavour is quite sweet with some brown sugar and without much bitterness. On the sweet side, but pleasant enough. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Chestnut brown colour with a fairly thick (artificially so, if I may say) light brown head. Mild chocolate/toffee aroma with a slight acidic hint. Sweet sugary malts not unlike those found in South American dunkels clash with a background of somewhat astringent graininess. Light and simple is fine, but this lacks the clarity and sense of purpose that needs to go into a light dark beer in order to make it work. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy

Medium body, evident residual sweetness, with the classic caramel/roasted malt mix, with a touch of honey and cereals. Good bitterness level. A very pleasant, above the average Dunkel. argo0 (7032), Washington DC, USA
