Pours a two finger pure white head that fades slowly to thin layer leaving a good lace lace. Crystal clear pale amber color. Very light carbonation and light-medium bodied. Hoppy nose. Flavor sweetens as it warms, honey? hops are noticeable, lingering bitter aftertaste. $2.15 for a 500ml bottle from John’s Marketplace Portland, OR.

Not sure why such a low rating on this beer! It is a nice Czech Lager! Poured clear and crisp with a nice layer of foam that alsted the whole beer. Nice hops, with good bittering at the back. Extremely clear and light effervescence. Not just a good winter lager, but good for summer too!

5L bottle. rich golden color with slight malt nose. lacy, creamy white head is attractive and invigorating. malt character is full with a slight honey tone, and slight fire brewed note. hop profile rounds out nicely to a very delicate floral/bitter balance. beautiful example of a bohemian lager!

Pours light golden forming a white foamy head. Aroma of malts, hops, smells German already. Flavour is light bodied, lite caramel malts, watered down hops. Seems that it comes straight from the copper brew tin. An OK beer, not a fave style.

12 oz. bottle. Clear, pale gold under a medium white head. Grainy, biscuity aroma with some floral notes. Medium body and carbonation, clean palate. Light maltiness is quickly countered by a rather sharp bitter flavor, slightly metallic, and the bitterness lingers.

12 oz. Golden with a medium-sized head that lasts. Aroma is honey with the earthy honeycomb. Flavor is spicy honey, turning to a grassy, delicately bittersweet finish. Light-medium bodied and smooth with a slight tongue tingle.

Aroma of pale malt and honey notes. Amber tinged goldoen color with a white head that turned into pin spots of lace. Medium body with near creamy carbonation. Flavor is a cross between pale malt and caramel. No real strong hop, just weak noble hop. Not especially sweet, but rather sweet for the style. The finish is nice. A little bitter builds. It’s a pleasant drink, heavier than many lagers. Seems to be a bit of spice or herb - maybe that’s the winter thing. Overall it is perhaps the lager version of a winter warmer.
