Is it supposed to taste like urine soaked gym shorts? Is that cabbage and asparagus flavor intended? Is this some sort of joke? Sincere (145), wichita, Kansas, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 16, 2006 12 oz bottle. Pours a pale yellow into a light amber body. Active carbonation, flimsy head that dissapates rapidly. Smells hoppy, but barely. The taste is like an extremely metallic soapy chemical taste I could never define. A light mouthfeel but the tinge of metal overpowers anything somewhat endearing as this. mjg74 (1999), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 2, 2006 Bottled. Pours a medium golden color. Slightly sweet aroma. Some yeast and grain are noticable. Almost smells like a wheat beer to me. Slightly grassy. Somewhat Malty and bitter in flavor. A little richer than alot of pilsners. Finish is malty and bitter. Not great, but nothing wrong here. JPDIPSO (4926), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2006 A light golden liquid with a somewhat wispy white head that settles over time to a cm or two of bubbles. Some relatively large bubbles still cling to the glass for patches of bubble wrap inside the glass. Aromas of fresh bread and clover honey. Fairly sweet all the way through. Some wintergreen near the finish. Linger returns to pale malt and light honey. Fairly thick feel, but enough carbonation to help lighten things out. A decent brew, that one could spend an afternoon with and watch the world go by, but still somewhat boring. Cornfield (4963), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 6, 2006 "Note: this is an export-only product for the American market." Gosh, thanks. Actually, though, it’s quite drinkable, if a bit timid. Very, very soft in the mouth, this densely headed golden Pilsener. Faint aroma of flowery and earthy hops over a subdued bready malt. The flavor is dominated by the hops (which appeals to me) and the malts turn into lightly toasted white bread. Nice bitter finish. Wish they’d beef this up some.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jan 21, 2006 Sampled from bottle. This lager pours clear amber-gold with a rocky white head and remarkable lacing. It’s an inviting appearance. Aroma is quite mild and dominated by lightly-toated malt with some floral and spice hop notes. Flavor is slightly bitter with some metals present. Some spice & grass hops linger in the after-taste. Medium-full body and well-carbonated. An enjoyable lager that looks a bit better than it tastes. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 4, 2006 Poured a light gold color with a white head. The aroma was corny with carrots black pepper and some bell peppers. The taste was dirt with bell peppers and a little bit of black pepper. Not a good pils. envane (251), Evanston, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 20, 2005 This seems to be a malted-up version of their pilsener. It has a thick palate for the style and the breadish malts dominate - it comes off more as a export/helles than a pilsener. This is pretty crap for a "winter" beer but not bad in and of itself. Once again ratebeerians fail at rating light coloured lagers.
