Clear deep gold / amber body with a small off-white fizzy-bubbly fast dissipating head. Intense aroma of fresh raspberries and a candy sweetness stand out above what seems to be a floral / herbal / grainy nose. Raspberries stand out in the flavor with a grainy-bitter aftertaste and a finish that reminds me of a piece of whole wheat bread dabbed with a bit of raspberry jam. The head retention is poor and the mouth feel is rather light for what could otherwise be a pretty impressive brew. Brownie points for being original in its own way.

Aroma of super strong and fragrant raspberries, a bit of wheat and a large amount of sugar. Medium to Light-bodied; Pungent and assertive metallic and off-tasting malt up front that fades to a decent raspberry finish with caramel and once again, a tiny bit of wheat/malt in the mix. Aftertaste is a foul bitter flavour with some minor raspberries and caramel too. Overall, not a great beer by any means, but not horrible and by far not the worst fruit beer I’ve had. I sampled this 473 (odd size) mL can purchased from the LCBO (Summerhill) in Toronto, Ontario on 11-October-2009, sampled back home on the American side of the border in Washington on 21-October-2009. jimmay (224), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jul 13, 2009 341ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours light red, with massive carbonation. The first couple I poured from the six pack I barely got half the bottle into the glass, the rest being foam. Had to let it sit a while to calm down. I’ve purchased this several times, and it’s the same every time. I recommend wetting the glass, or using an oversized one. Once the head dies down, and bubble aren’t jumping up your nose, aroma is dusty and raspberry, with a touch of hop. Flavour is sweet, but manages to have a dry finish to keep it from getting too cloying. Mouthfeel is a bit watery. cfrancis (349), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada
