Beer looks as Coca - Cola for all the world, with a very fast gone head, leaving some lace. Liquorice, tobacco, a bit smoked and faraway nutty. Tobacco taste as well, with dark smoked malts, leafy as aucuba. Retronasal tonguesides gives some more liquorice or treacle sweetness, blending seemlessly into the beer. Rather thin MF. Exception taken for the MF, quite pleasing beer, good try.

Bottle. Pours a hazy, brown body with a creamy, beige head. Very nutty nose, where the chocolate, coffee, dried fruits and bitterness are left in the background. Sure I like nuts, but this was too much for my likings. Still it’s far from bad. The flavor has surprisingly a touch of alcohol for starters, then chocolate, coffee and bitterness comes stronger. Full, warming mouthfeel, and roasted finish. There was so much alcohol here that I suspect it’s much stronger than the 5.5% the label states. Quite nice beer though. (080215)

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy and dark brown with a lacing brown head. Malty and light acidic aroma. Flavour is roasted malt, subdued chocolat and liqourice. Solid acidic note. A bit nutty. Ends with a mild yeast flavour and a lingering acidic note into the finish.

33 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Acidic and roasted malt aroma. Sweet roasted malty flavour with a mild fruity note. Mild infection which also showed from the gushing beer. Mild acidic and roasted malty finish.

Bottle @ Octoberfest tasting, Kolding. Muddy brown with a foamy brown and lightly fizzy head. Aroma is quite nutty and a good roasted background. Flavour is very nutty. A little round and a little watery perhaps. Quite sweet and roasted flavour.

Cloudy dark amber color. Very nice hop aroma, with some caramel. Yeasty and a bit sour taste, with some roasted nuts and caramel. Strong bitterness, with some (hidden) hop aroma. Quite homebrew style, but not bad.
