argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA May 3, 2008 (750ml bottle, thanks Peregrinari) Medium beige head atop cloudy mahogany body. Aroma is medium sweet, cherry/berry, light chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, chocolate/cherry, some alcohol, light smoke. Medium-full body. Not what I think of as an Imply Stout.

Pours light blackish/reddish with beige head.
Aroma is fruity, dark cherries.
Taste is very sweet, dark fruits (cherries), this one is loaded with alcohol, some roastiness and very light hoppy touch.
Few tiny sediments. A different type of RIS, loaded with fruits. Very drinkable. fishingnet (861), Brandon, Florida, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Pours a hazy brown amber with a light tan head. Aroma of hot alcohol, dark fruit, caramel, and spicy yeast. Taste is the same as aroma with a touch of roasted malt and a heavy amount of hot alcohol. Medium mouthfeel with a mild to moderate amount of bitterness and hot alcohol. Too damn hot. Ibrew2or3 (1756), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Sep 26, 2008 Pours dark brown with small off white head. The light aroma has notes of prunes and figs and a load of alcohol hotness (is this 12% ABV?). The taste has the biggest note being alcohol to go along with lighters notes coming from caramel and dark fruity esters. Well beyond the heat and esters are faint expressions of caramelized malts and malt roastiness. To darn hot for the stated ABV. bb (2168), Martinez, California, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bottle. Dark brown beer with a tan head. Roasty, caramel, yeasty aroma. Roasty, chocolate, toffee flavor with coffee, yeast, and licorice. Fuller bodied. Roast and licorice linger. Needs time to mellow. Roasty licorice isn’t the best flavor to highlight.
