Bottle. Bronze beer with a strongish head. The aroma is very herbal, and the flavour is bitter, herbal, yeasty and gently spiced. Overall a very basic and too herbal tasting beer.

Bottled (as Springbock). Amber colour with mediumsized fluffy off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some cookies, mild notes of spices and some quite bready notes. Flavour is bready and caramel malty along with some mild herbal notes. Some slight bitterness in the finish.

Bottle. The aroma reminds me of cakes and cookies, light sweet, reminds me a little bit of cinnamon. Not so bad. The head is medium large, white and creamy. The body is orange and clear. The taste is very light sour, then it gets maltier with a medium duration. The body is light creamy and dry with a lively carbonation and a light to medium body.

12 oz bottle (May09) 7% abv. Poured clear golden amber in color with a large beige head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruity esters, Belgian yeast, grain, light spice and sweet citrus notes. Tastes of wet grain, dough, orange citrus fruit, sweeter malt base, honey and spices. Black pepper comes out in the finish, but this was quite enjoyable.

Amber colored brew. Peppery, spicy aroma. Fruity flavor, sweetness, some honey in the end. A bit malty and some yeast.

(Bottled, 7% ABV) Slightly hazy orange with a smallish, white, quite lasting head. Aroma of honeyish, pale malt, yeast, and hints of alcohol. Peppery-spicy, pale-malty, reasonably hoppy, neutral-dryish flavor with quite strong yeastiness and some acidity. Medium body with soft carbonation. Some similarity (hopwise) to Saison Dupont. Indeed a pleasant and refreshing exception to the boring Dutch bock style - although it’s only a bock by name. Me liked!
