Did you really think you had suddenly found a good beer? Hope springs eternal, as does mediocrity. Dreaming dreams of kolsches lost, the weeping begins. Weeping, I say! | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2004 The German brewery is entirely fictional. The beer has a golden colour. The aroma is malty with a hint of grassy hops. The palate has a creamy maltiness and faint grassiness. Rounded cookie dough notes and a balanced finish put this ahead of most mainstream Asian lagers. A typical ero lager style of beer that lacks a fair bit in the flavour and balance stakes. Very light body an thin mouthfeel. Oh well, it was cheap. rabuc (143), carlisle, Pennsylvania, USA

Rather firm, but a light touch of vegetables disturbs. The finish is hoppier and more bitter than is common among Asian beers. MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jun 8, 2003 A skunk playing in the hay aroma with the taste of a lemon wedge sitting in old water...Same gimmick as their Klassik Lager...Fake brewery name (Kloster Brauerei Neustadt), green bottle and label except this time they push things even further by writing the above commercial description...Horrible, run of the mill swill... | 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 4/20 | May 16, 2003 Quite thin and fizzy, minimal aroma, minimal taste, still drier than most Thai beers, not so good, boring. Duff was so happy when I brought all these beers back for him.
