SHIG (1731), Oberoffligen, Germany Aug 22, 2008 #200 German beer tried not to mention a local, thanks Kyle Brock my neighbor for supporting my habit. Bottle swing top: Poured a dark brown with a reddish hazy outline in the light, head is a thin to medium jello beige. Aroma is sweet caramel, malt, and some fruit. Taste is a malty/fruit mix, very interesting and undescribable. I couldn’t be happier with this beer.
TaxiDriver (622), Stadland, Germany Jun 14, 2008 Bottle. Heavy malty smell, brown cookies, very sweet. Also light yeasty. Small light brown fizzy head, fast and fully diminishing; rather cloudy red body. The first taste is sweet, then it gets sour with a average duration. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. Nice Doppelbock.
