Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 16, 2005 An amber beer with a nice white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and straw. The flavor is also sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and some hops. The end is dry and the sweetness lingers for a long time. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 30, 2002 Amber. Sweetish, clean and very bitter. Braunbier is a style more or less indigenous to this tiny brewery, and perhaps most similar to kellerbier.
Papsoe (10551), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 4, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear amber with a creamy, off-white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied with plenty of malt and a distinct malt sweetness. Some light accents of caramel. Lightly hoppy finish. Solid German quality. 040506 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 25, 2002 Light amber; big, toasty nose like hot buttered biscuits; full body but the promise of the aroma doesn’t quite pan out - it’s still malty, but lighter, less evocative. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours deep golden orange to light brown, clear, and with a light yellowish head. Spiced and hoppy aroma. Initial flavour is somewhat sweet before a more pronounced spiced bitterness takes over. Light breadish malt base. Dry and spiced finish, lasting into a far finish.
