Draught at EsBF09. Mild spicy aroma, indescribable cookie spice. Nice deep red brown colour. Small stable grey head. The flavour is slightly sweet with the same spice as the aroma, probably cardamum. Has a little sourness in the finish, which does not really suit the beer. Too perfumy.

It’s hazy, red mahogany with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt and quite a lot of Christmas spices, mostly cinnamon and muscat. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel and lots and lots of spices, mostly cinnamon and muscat. It IS very Christmassy, but IMO it’s not really nice, when a beer is to spicy.

On tap. Pours a clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Very spicy nose - Speculaas. Medium body, sweet caramel and again Speculaas spices: bitter orange, potash, cardamom and cinnamon. Hardly any bitterness. 221009

Deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of berries, herbs and clove. Strong clove flavour with sweet malt and a little roasted drying finish. Too spicy, with the cloves too dominating.

Draught. Deep amber colour, medium beige head. Good spiced and sweet malty aroma. The flavour is quite pleasant with spiced, dark malts, caramel, some dark fruits and a good spiced (mainly cinnamon and clove) malty sweet finish.

Tap @ Ølfestival, Esbjerg, 2009.
Pours deep amber with a medium, creamy, beige head. Lovely spicy aroma. Cloves, cinnamon, herbs and some fine caramel. Medium carbonation, lovely creamy mouthfeel - especially for the ABV. Sweet flavour, good cinnamon and caramel. Lovely, elegant spicy Christmas ale. Yum!
