Commercial Description:
Stegmaier Summer Stock Lager is a straw-colored traditional pilsner beer with golden highlights and a creamy white head. Its perceived citrus nose and supreme balance of malt and hops have essentially made this beer terrific thirst quencher for summer. It’s crisp, clean and refreshing.

Knights Head 12 oz bottle split with scottyp. Clear orange pour with small ring of light tan head. Nose of apple, cardboard. Flavor is a little caramel malty, and more apple. Flowery sweet finish. Not that bad. But far from good.

Bottle... Clear amber lager with golden highlights and a small, wispy, off-white head. Good retention. Biscuity, fruity aroma with a hint of warm perspiration. Medium to full-bodied with a bit of a milky mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. Bready, toffee flavor. Decently balanced, but does lean just a touch on the sweet side. Finishes crisply, lightly sweet and then very dry.

Looks like the ubiquitous pale lager, sparkles nicely in the glass. Aroma is mildly sweet and that carries over to the taste. Decent session brew. Pretty light for a straight pale lager. A clever lager without any oppressive insults. S5L2T5F3O12

Bottle (Knight’s Head Lager). Pours a thin amber with a small head and grainy aromas. A bit of dusty grain in the nose is about it... Flavor is more of the same... pretty grain heavy, maybe a touch of orange juice hops if you want to stretch things a bit... Meh... fairly solid, but pretty plain Jane...
