cloudy burnt orange, wispy beige head, drips of lace, big sweet caramel, pine, and grapefruit aroma, the body gets stickier and stickier, lots of sticky sweet flavor with essence of tangerine and pine, light bitterness stays out of the way but provides for a soft bitter finish, grapefruit bursts forth about halfway through,

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 22, 2006 Bottle courtesy of kramer17801: Pours a clear dark copper orange with a nicely-lacing,wispy white head. Fresh floral grapefruity hoppy aroma has some toasted toffee and hints of strawberry. Body starts with a lightly sticky and sweet caramel maltiness well balanced with lots of fresh green bittering and flavor hops. A nice IPA. JorisPPattyn (5192), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 19, 2006 Short-lived, yellow tinted head; clear orange-foxy beer that pours a bit oily, viscous. Grapey hopsnose, ending cake-y and spicey, with just a bit of resin or pine, and orange marmalade. Starts off as a rather citrussy-hoppy IPA, but immediately taken over by a strange sweetish flavour - which cannot be but the corn syrup. Darn stupid addition, if Im asked. Main problem is that it turns the bitterness metallic in character. Faint (milk)chocolate in the finish. Medium bodied, a viscosity reflected from the pouring. Lots of orange in the aftertaste. Not a bad IPA, but compared to what is available elsewhere... All the same, interesting bottle, Mike, thanks! Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2006 Pours coppery with a creamy white head. Smells hoppy with citrus, yogurt and some perfumey notes. Tastes of lemons and oranges with a nice malt backbone. Finishes metallic. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2006 Bottle: Tawny amber color, sticky thick head, nice lacing. Nose of lemon and spruce. The flavor is swampy, a bit off and stingy in the finish. Odd hopping. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Bottle from Epps, Limerick, PA. This one poured dark straw/subdued copper with an off-white retentive head. Nice aromas of hops, citrus, some fruit and black pepper. The flavor was hoppy and fruity up front, with malt and spicy florals arriving at mid-palate. Medium body, but it does seem to lose heft and complexity at the finish. Still, not bad at any rate.
