This is not meant to impress, nor to be for special occasions. But, on a hot summer day, this one is about right. It is mild, has good body and great head retention, and costs a fraction of the advertized brands. Do not expect a classic beer, but for a lighter lager it is balanced and has a dry finish. It obviously uses very mild hops (probably not Saaz as some have suggested) and is very drinkable. jb (1056), Rochester, New York, USA

Tough to top AdamSkillin’s review below - he nailed it. It’s not bad in the American very light style. Decent floral aroma, decent head, yellow color and favor clear and filtered with big bubbles. locdog42069 (26), Fredonia, New York, USA

Tasted better than it smelled. Had a decent head. Was worth the 2.40 that i paid for it though....... dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 20, 2005 i picked a six pack of this up for 2.50 and am pretty excited about it.
the beer has a small bubble head, that holds, and is quite a pale straw color. saaz on the nose also with thin carmel, simple and understated.
the beer is rather sweet, but, contrary to other reviewers, not corny really at all. i actually get a fair floral ale flavor after it warms up a bit. all in all you really can’t do better for 2.50 a six pack, not even hamm’s golden draft comes close. the nose reminds me of staropromen. all in all a nice surprise GrainBeltGuzzler (249), Goodhue, Minnesota, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 16, 2004 skunky sort of smell, which is better than no smell at all. a pale golden color, with a white head not nearly as flavorless I thought it would be, Thin and watery mouthfeel, had better, had worse, for the price I think this one is middle of the road AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 3, 2004 First of all, this is a ridiculous beer. Allow me to elaborate. First of all, for $2.50 per 6-pack, it’s actually better than fake-ass good beers, like Anheuser World Select. Also, for being "some type of corn drink," it beats the shizzle out of Bud, Miller, Coors, and every other crappy-ass beer on the market. So, in summary, this is a perfect beer to serve at your next party if you want college girls to perform awkward, demeaning sexual favors for you in the bathroom.
Seriously, for a cheap crappy beer, this is more cheap and less crappy than most. Play some beer pong with this and you are guaranteed to score, BIG TIME. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

About this beer I say use this for beer pong/"beirut", instead of anything else. Seriously. This is the cheapest, best tasting, generic beer you can get. Excellent utility beer
Better than Anheuser World Select
