Oct 29, 2007 Updated: Nov 23, 200933cl bottle. A very good lookin’ beer, pours very dark brown with a big frothy brown head. Plenty of sticky lacing. This really came to life after about 15 minutes in the glass. Aroma is a powerful blend of dark chocolate, dark fruits, malt, coffee. One of the best I’ve encountered so far...I find myself drinking it very slowly so I can continue to take in the aroma. Shoulda bought two... Flavor is more of whats in the aroma, very chocolaty. Sweet. Very smooth and rich, but not overly heavy. I’ve been hunting a Baltic Porter for a while, and this Sinebrychoff is an amazing beer. One of the best I’ve ever had.

Oct 26, 2007 Bottled. Poured black with a dark brown head. Aroma was a rich velvet chocolate with coffee and roasted notes. Flavor was a flat chocolate/coffee combo with chocolate being the dominant of the two. Reminded me of a Baltic Porter, and I come to see that is how it is listed here so I pegged that one. Good rich malted body.

Oct 22, 2007 Absolutely fantastic porter - best I have ever had. Great mingling of coffee and chocolate notes along with a few darker fruits. Will enjoy again and again.

Oct 21, 2007 Bottle. (trade w/tbone_) Pours very dark brown, almost black, and is topped by a creamy, beige head. Fruity and slightly oxidized nose, with chocolate and roasted malt. The same goes for the flavor, but there’s a weak note of coffee there as well. It finishes quite dry, with chocolate, roasted malt, some fruityness and bitterness. I would like a fuller body on the beer, and also some more hops, but it is definately a nice beer. (070809)

Oct 16, 2007 poured thick and heavy with pillowed bubbles covering the surface of the tan head. milk chocolate aroma. starch is listed as an ingredient. what does that mean? full, rich flavor begins with the sweet roasted malt and fades as the bitterness gains attention. smooth and creamy throughout.

Oct 7, 2007 330ml bottle. Pitch black with a chocolate malt head. Aroma - Malt, prune and other dark fruit. Taste was of dark sweet fruit, coffee, cocoa and a hint of borwn sugar. Very nice.
