An impressive beer. KnutAlbert (3217), Oslo, Norway

Dark beer, firm off-white head. Rather watery, but a fine tone of toast and liquorice. A stronger version could probably be a great beer. PetetheMeat (549), Hove, Denmark

There is some burned toast flavor with minor hoppiness. Too sweet for my taste. Almost no aftertaste. Watery, almost adequate beer. VilleH (31), Vieremä, Finland

Aroma is slightly sour and there are roasted malts and maybe some coffee. Flavour is quite roasted but still nice balanced with sweetness and bitterness. Smooth and nice to drink. heemer77 (4311), Savannah, Missouri, USA

There is lots of lacing left on the side of the glass. This smells like bubblegum and fresh tobacco, almost like a dunkel to my nose. The light body is sticky with a low amount of carbonation. The taste is roasted walnuts with some light tobacco and coffee notes. At the front of the beer is a strange, slightly sweet berry character. Almost like there is a hint of blackberry juice. This could be a little less sweet, but I find that many European Schwarzbiers I have tried have this similar character. Not bad, but I wouldn’t want very much of this beer.
