Commercial Description:
Dark KOFF Velvet is a smooth-tasting top-fermented beer flavoured with plenty of hops. It is an authentic dark beer that will also pleasantly surprise aficionados of lager beers. Uncap, pour, admire the frothy head, sniff and enjoy. KOFF Velvet's smooth taste is not easily forgotten.

50cl can - "Sinebrychoff Velvet" - no mention of KOFF - but a similar label design to the photo.dark brown opaque body, with a frothy coffee coloured head; burnt toast aroma, with perhaps some coffee notes (unless it’s an eye-nose trick); thin and dry in the mouth with roasted malt and smoke; a lingering meatiness. An impressive beer.

0,5 l can. Dark beer, firm off-white head. Rather watery, but a fine tone of toast and liquorice. A stronger version could probably be a great beer.

Black, huge beige head. Faintly sweet aroma. Mild, pleasant malty flavour. Notes of roasted malt and smoke. Watery palate.

Canned. Dark brown color. Small foamy head. Aroma is sweet malty. There is some burned toast flavor with minor hoppiness. Too sweet for my taste. Almost no aftertaste. Watery, almost adequate beer.

(500ml bottle) Roasty and hoppy aroma. Really dark appearance and nice head. Smoky/roasty and soft flavor. Watery and a bit tasteless beer.

Velvet is beautiful almost black beer with intence coffee-brown head. Aroma is slightly sour and there are roasted malts and maybe some coffee. Flavour is quite roasted but still nice balanced with sweetness and bitterness. Smooth and nice to drink.

From a can, thanks oh6gdx. The head is generous and a medium khaki color. There is lots of lacing left on the side of the glass. This smells like bubblegum and fresh tobacco, almost like a dunkel to my nose. The light body is sticky with a low amount of carbonation. The taste is roasted walnuts with some light tobacco and coffee notes. At the front of the beer is a strange, slightly sweet berry character. Almost like there is a hint of blackberry juice. This could be a little less sweet, but I find that many European Schwarzbiers I have tried have this similar character. Not bad, but I wouldn’t want very much of this beer.
