(on bottle at RBESG 2005) Rotten masharoma, sweet and moldy. Waterish mouthfeel and a slightly burnt finish. Not really a beer that takes you anywhere.

Very dark, almost black with a fine head. It smells nice and malty. I taste a bit of coffee. But flavor is way too hoppy and bitter for my taste. Disappointment.

Bottled. Black opaque, huge brown creamy/foamy longlasting head. Lacing. Aroma of paperfactory... also some roasted malt as well as old coffee aroma is present. Weak roasted malt in flavour, as well as some sweetish hints. A bit stoutlike as for the roastiness. Sticky palate, and roasted, semibitterish aftertaste.

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark, almost black with a creamy and quite stable light brown head. Very dry with pronounced notes of the roasted malts, but not really bitter. Top fermented and closer to a dry Irish stout than an ale. A bit like Guinness in Finnish. 160405

Blackish brown colour, fluffy beige head that does not last long. Medium-bodied, somewhat sweet aroma, some soft roasty maltiness, some bitterness from the hops (esp. in aftertaste), some coffee-ish undertones, and some too much carbonation. Kind of a compromise; an easy introduction to dark beers for pale lager lovers. Not that bad, however.

Bottled. Light-stout. A lot of carbonation, rather thin with some roasted coffee-flavour.

Bottled. Dark brown colour. This is all about coffee. Coffee aroma and flavour with a smooth palate feel. Dry finish.

Canned. Interesting ale with pleasant roasted barley flavour. Similar to anglo-irish stouts. Coffee undertones. Looking forward to sampling their porter...
