pivnizub (4181), Porúří, Germany Oct 26, 2008 On tap: A bit unclear, deep golden, smaller, quite stable white head; solid dry-hoppy (Tettnang, Hallertau ??) nose, moderate to robust dry bitter flavour, light bodied; short hoppy finish. Fine, spicy brew..........
Ernest (4322), Boulder, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2007 At Beim Kaeck’n, Neuhaus.
Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is hazy dark yellow.
Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (basement), with notes of cantaloupe rind, honey, and peach.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation.
A little fruitier nose than most, and quite delicious, in the top tier of the ones I sampled. To think I nearly missed this due to the entrance being the unmarked door along the side of the building (the front door next to the big sign and barrel was locked and no one replied to the doorbell). I think I might have accidentally left my Beim Binner barmat here, darn it.
