Light buttery malt and moderate grassy hops flavor. My first taste of Zoigl - did not disappoint. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2009 draft at schoilmichl stube, 2009 tag der kommunbrauer. hazed golden body, rocky white head. zesty flavor and higher carbonation than other zoigls give this one a prickly and peppery texture. sweet caramel and saccharine unfermented malts with a mild wheat/honey/hay flavor and a light bitterness of dried hop leaves present overall a good but not great zoigl beer. lacks true depth but succeeds in being drinkable and delicious. kappldav123 (1867), Markkleeberg, Germany

Looks good in the glass, not too zippy, but small creamy head. Starts hoppy-grasy, a bit moldy, also woody notes. Turns then more and more malty, finish still quite grasy. Very fresh and flowery. Really good! Oakes (8113), gone rambling, Cambodia
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Zum Waldhauser, Neustadt i.d. Waldnaab Hazy light tan with a thick head. Fresh aroma is yeasty, lightly fruity with light pale malts. Minerally palate has more malt heft than most zoigls, but this still finishes with an earthy, minerally hop flourish. Another moreish zoigl. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 4, 2009 The Zoigl from Waldhauser @ Neustadt am der Waldnaab, draft @ their stubl. Bright orange beer with slight haze, white head that is stable and leaves lacing. Fresh grain aromas, on the earthy and minerally side. Easy quaffable palate is also chewy and a tad sticky. High mineral content, metallic, dry and good! pivnizub (5069), Bochum, Porúří, Germany
