(draught) pours a lightly hazy golden colour with a frothy off-white head. pungent aroma of butter, heavy barnyard and iodine, totally off. flavour is very fruity, with notes of lychee and passion fruit, light grainy malts and a herbal hoppy bitter finish. medium body with smooth carbonation.

draft at tag der kommunbrauer. faintly hazed golden honey colored body with a fine-bubbled pure white head. dried flower petal yeast esters and minerallic honey in the nose. medium bitterness, well-rounded and full body, oily and wet texture. zesty, prickly, green hops, more green than other zoiglbier. lovely stuff, easily drinkable and enjoyable.

1l-bottle at home. Big thanks to bierkoning for that one. Dark blond in the glass, not too zippy, small but creamy head. Starts quite hoppy grasy, notes of hay, some wood. Becomes more and more malty, but still spicy-hoppy. Round finish, very drinkable. Really good!

Tap @ zoiglstube. Orange blonde color, hazy. Lots of orange in the aroma. Initial malt, but after that orange and flowery and earthy hops. Even a bit of mandarin curacao and grass. Lovely!

Golden-amber. Fairly bright. Thick head that falls to a rocky thin foam. Very appetizing aroma has hints of apple, a touch of fruity hop and firm caramel/breadcrust malt. This is a study in mouthfeel. Very fresh tasting with a moderate but steady bitterness, finishing with a burst of juiciness and dry, faintly herbal hop. The malt is everpresent but seldom makes a statement. Eminently drinkable country beer. Very good.

My favorite Zoigl of the day. Bright vivid orange-gold and much more clarified than the Windischechenbach Zoigls we had. Thick white foamy head and lacing. Bright, fresh, friendly, toasted grain aroma. Clean, drinkable, low carbonation and juicy palate. Mild citrusy quality. Great dry, spicy, citrusy finish. Quality brew!!

On tap: deep golden, almost clear, smaller white foam; deep dry hoppy nose with a grainy touch; dry moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; dry hoppy finish. Very pleasant.........
