Commercial Description:
Big Wave is a light golden ale with a subtle fruitiness and delicate hop aroma. A smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The lightly roasted honey malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and also gives a slight sweetness that is balanced out by our special blend of hops.

Tap at the Honolulu Airport. Golden colored pour with medium sized white head. Malty nose, but not a lot else. Light malty finish, with very little hops. Drinkable.....

courtesy of MadDan - hazy golden-blond colour with a little persistant white foam; gentle aroma of almonds and caramel; medium-bodied and quite sweet; moderate bitterness, clean palate and a subtle carbonation, quite long almondy finish - a decent session beer

On tap at Koko Marina. Poured a clear gold color with a one finger white head. Aroma of malt and a bit of grassy hops. Flavor was malty with a faint hop bitterness. The flavor was slightly disappointing, even though I didn’t expect too much from a golden ale.

A pretty typicla golden ale. Pours gold (duh) with a medium sized head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with a bit of sweet malt. Mouthfeel is lively with lots of carbonation. Flavor is kind of blah with not much happening. Not terrible, just nothing special.

Pretty standard golden ale here. Light malt flavor, crisp carbonation, and a touch of hops. Very easy drinking but nothing special.
