Commercial Description:
Big Wave is a light golden ale with a subtle fruitiness and delicate hop aroma. A smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The lightly roasted honey malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and also gives a slight sweetness that is balanced out by our special blend of hops.

Bottle. Sweet melon and malt aroma. Golden yellow color. Sweet malt flavor with a hint of raspberry and light hops finish. Nice light beach beer.

12oz bottle...packaged on Aug 10 05. Hay---Golden! Head dies...malt melon aroma...kiss of hops...pretty decent malt nose really...good body, better than expected. Thank God! Malt, hops(light), and a touch of yeast fruitiness...but mostly malt shows up in this. Nothing to contemplate...solid enough though...a nice surprise as I expected a "golden" ale to be thin and bland. I also had this on tap at a few different places in Maui. Any decent place will have at least one Kona beer. That is a good thing!

this one is lighter then your wiffle ball bat. subte hints of malt stealthness and crisp hops of oregano flowers. fresh and refreshing. easy to drink on your hot days or cutting the lawn.

Bleh. This compares very poorly to Widmer Blond, which is important, since Widmer distributes it in Portland. Bland yellow coloring, bland hop-less aroma, bland malt flavor.

beer for the beach, serve cold. Some malt character but mainly just a cold drinker.

Bottle. Nose-sweet grains with some hops. Some sweet malt on the taste. Tastes like a Budweiser with a slightly heavier malt bill. "Kona-it’s Hawaii’an for macro".

Very light, clear. Unremarkable aroma, not especially notable, a little sweet. Very light flavor. Tingling/zinging carbonation. Let me guess, this is for the tourists sitting on the beach?

sour aroma and not in the UMM, YUMMY sour way. see through light yellow. taste is upfront corny with some bitter in the finish. reminds me of a sweet bud????? i had to double check with the fellows to make sure it was an ale, but nuffield assured me it was, although he might have been messing with me, but i’ll take his word nontheless. taste isnt bad even with all that said, just bland with some honey. stickey mouthfeel.
