Commercial Description:
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Bouteille de 12 oz. Arômes de houblon herbeux, légère touche citronnée. Robe ambrée assez pâle, effervescence moyenne. Moyennement ronde en bouche, le malt caramel est intéressant mais la présence du houblon est plutôt limitée. Amertume assez faible. Une APA sous la moyenne.

Tap @ Monster B’s. Sweet pale ale. Very similar to Harpoon IPA. Honey notes. Malt character is more potent than the hops. Very sweet, sugar added most likely.

This poured an amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma contains some grapefruit, caramel, and pineapple. The flavor consists of grapefruit, pineapple, and caramel. The aftertaste is slightly bitter but also some sweetness can be detected. Overall nothing very complex but a very nice session pale ale.

good session beer. Poured a nice amber hue with a thin white head that had little retention. Aroma was of mild sweet malt notes and some hops. Flavor was well balanced and the beer was overall smooth.

Bottle. Pours a light copper color with a nice, small, foamy beige head that lasts. Taste is of malt, caramel, hops, grass and pine. The finish is slightly bitter. Slightly creamy body. Very easy to drink and rather enjoyable. A nice brew to kick back, relax and have.

This APA had a lot of promise as I poured it into a shaker glass. The color was a clear and beautiful copper with a generous off-white head. The head left lots of lacing around the glass. The nose was also pretty impressive, with a very citrusy, woody and hoppy aroma. It also had quite a bit of sweetness to it, which isn’t all that common from what I find. But unfortunately, that’s where the impressiveness ends. The body was a little sour with more sweetness mixed in. The finish was also a little sour, but had a nice hoppy and citrusy bite. There was a good amount of flowerly hops to the flavors, but not much dryness or woody notes. The sweetness and slight sourness really ruined this experience for me. It’s certainly a very different tasting interpretation of the APA sytle.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a light amber orange with a small, off white head. A light malt in the nose and not much else. Medium carbonation with a medium mouthfeel. Sweet malt, a little caramel, and cardboard on the palate. A very little bitterness on the back end. The finish is short and clean. This beer is very forgettable. Meh.
