Commercial Description:
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

12 oz. bottle pours a cloudy, bright copper color with tight white head that melts away quickly. Aroma is of light grass and malt. Front palate is malt with a middle of toasty grains and finishes up with hoppy lemon flavor. Relatively light and drinkable, but just mediocre. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I think the only reason I’d seek it out again would be for a Hawaiian-themed party.

Surprisingly nice... A solid PA that pours well but lacks a bit on aroma. A little citrus and a bit of an aftertaste that’s not unpleasant. I’d pick this up again especially to surprise friends who might not believe that Hawaii can put out this good an ale.

Right from the bottle. This is one of my favorite everyday beers. Nice citrus and piney hops with a full finish. Crisp and wonderful. This one is really underrated.

Tap at the Honolulu Airport. Amber colored pour with small white head. Nice hoppy, floral aroma with a nice sweet, hoppy, malty finish. I enjoyed this.

Bottle. Malt dominated pale ale. Pours copper color balanced malt/ hop aroma. Malts are the story here with medium hop bitterness in the rear. Decent APA

Pours dark golden w/ off-white small head. Some straw, caramel, pine, and lemon. Nice solid hops level/bitterness. Texture was a bit soapy and oily. An ok pale ale.

Bottle from Once Upon a Vine - North on 08/09/2008. Clear copper body with a small white head. Sweet caramel flavor with floral and eartyhy hints. Swet floral and earthy hop flavor. Medium full body with low carbonation.

courtesy of MadDan - hazy dark reddish-amber colour, huge foam, gentle aroma of mango and prunes; soft and rounded palate with a medium malt backbone; clean and respectable bitterness; quite long fruity and gently flowery aftertaste - subtle
