Flavor is lots of citrus hops with a clean bitter finish. A nice APA, espcially if you like hops. Nicely refreshing on a warm Kona night. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA

Nicely bittered, nice zesty pnw hops. Nothing overly special, but one to try and enjoy for sure. djd07 (755), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 17, 2008 On tap at the Porch Swing. Has a clear golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is floral and very hoppy. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is citrus and sweet malt. A decent pale ale from Kona. ChainGangGuy (2616), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a clear, copper body capped by a small, white head.
Smell: Aroma of pale malts and fragrant citrus. Keepin’ it simple at Kona. I like that.
Taste: Standard pale maltiness with a mild sweetness. Citrusy hops with a medium, balancing bitterness. Lingering bitterness to the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A good, albeit basic pale ale. I’m sure it’d be 100% better to be enjoying this beer in its home state. changeup45 (803), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Updated: Jun 4, 2008By far the best beer I sampled during my trip to Maui. A nice tasting Pale Ale from Kona Brewing that has more hops than several IPA’s I’ve tried. Copper colored, medium head with a nice but not amazing amount of lacing. Very nice full hoppy flavor with a sweet (not too sweet) citrus tasted in the background. It’s not going to blow you away but it’s just damn good and easy to drink. And again, a generous amount of hops for a Pale Ale. Extremely enjoyable, I had this several times within the past week. Ansset13 (127), Wilmington, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 9, 2008 A fine american pale ale. Pours nicely coppery, with small white head. the nose is floral hops and yet still surprisingly sweet. Hops rule the flavor and is lack of density separate the from an IPA. pintocb (518), Darsville, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2008 Pretty good apa. Coppery colored with lots of effervesence. Kind of a sweet aroma. The flavor is hop forward. Maybe a tiny bit thin, but it is an APA, not an IPA, although it could almost cross over.....3.2 is probably a bit low.
