Commercial Description:
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Sampled @ Hallandale beer fest (bottle). Hazy muddled gold color. Nose is too mild. The flavors are crisp and bold, some tropical fruits that finish with a clean, hoppy aftertaste. Good soft palate.

This copper ale poured with a fluffy beige head. The flavor is mild and malty, with a slightly bitter hop finish, and it goes down easily.

Bottle pours hazy copper with thin off-white head. Aroma is citrus fruity- pineapple, passionfruit, orange - with a touch of pineyness. Caramel, grains, lightly sweet, slightly prickly and resiny hop bitterness in the finish. Bitterness and some burn linger a bit in the aftertaste. Consisently good APA for sessions.

I have to admit I’m drinking this warm. Pour is cloudy brown orange with small sudsy head. No lacing to speak of. The nose is strong alcohol with some woody notes, caramel malt, hops at a distance. The taste is heavy malt and the mouth feel is medium. The beer is nearly absent of hops compared to a lot of pales. The finish is sweet and watery. Probably a good enough beer when its cold. Not something I would buy, not something I would turn down. And now I know how to say "waves" in hawaiian. cheers!

Some nice citrus on the nose. Darker burnt orange, some haze. Nice balance, good bitterness, maybe a little sweet for a pale, but in a good way. Aromatic long finish.

This is a really good, session pale. The faint hop aroma doesn’t do this beer justice...beautiful burnt orange that is perfectly clear with minimal cloud-white head. This beer is extremely clean and well-balanced. I think the description is deceiving in that I wouldn’t place the mouthfeel at "medium to full-bodied" but it’s a very good, easy drinkin’ beer.

Pours a light amber/copper color with a small white head. Aroma is citrusy hops and sweet malt. Taste is the same but a tad bit light. Still pretty good.

I didn’t like this beer as much as everyone else I guess. Amber color with an average head. Very light hop aroma and flavor. I was hoping for more bitterness from it. A little too sweet and malty for me. Just average.
