I give this beer a recommendation based on the overall quality of the beer. It’s a bit two dimensional with sweet malts and piney hops, both in the nose and palate. Average mouthfeel with a decent balance and thankfully it’s not overly harsh. Easy drinking, and a notch above regular APA’s like SNPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours copper orange with small off-white head. The aroma is sweet and spicy hops with some gentle toast. The flavor is a little bit sugary with some spicy and citrus hops (though they aren’t very assertive). The finish gets a bit of an earthy touch. Refreshing and drinkable, though nothing to seek out.

I was a little surprised to find a Hawian brewery I’ve never heard of in Orlando, FL. Initial inspection - label does not seem to be fake BMC craft beer. Beer is a light tan, citrus and spice aroma. Hoppy flavor, not too bitter. Very refreshing. Pretty good APA.

Bottle. Clear copper/orange with a full frothy white head. Caramel malt and orangey aroma. Flavor of caramel malt balanced by citrusy hops with an earthy edge. Medium to full bodied, like they say. Nice all around APA.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Cloudy, copper color with smooth, white head. Sweet, malty aroma up front with light, citrusy hop backround. Soft palate. Caramel malt flavor is balanced out well by some hoppy bitterness halfway back, then sweet again at the end. Solid.

Last of the kona beers from GF’s parents. A muddy red/brown color with soft white head. Aroma is caramel and doughy with light cirtus hops. Flavor is grainy but mostly big dough and caramel with grapefruit, orange and pine hops in back. Medium body with nice carbonation that fades to a creaminess. A very well done pale ale that might be a litte bit aged (only slight cardboard oxidation).

12 oz. bottle, blurb on the neck label and packaging date on the bottle neck (Aug/23/07), sampled in a pint glass. Cloudy appearance, orange hued copper color with a foamy off-white, pale beige head, decent retention, small amount of ringed sticking at the brim of the glass. Light hop aromas at first, quite floral sweet and traces of an fresh orange juiciness. Mild backing of roasted caramel malts. Light and mild traditional APA taste, soft American northwest hoppiness, citrus juicy, flowery and hints of pine resins. A balancing sweet maltiness, caramelized and touches of grain. Finishes dry, a little sticky citrus hops complemented by lightly roasted malts. Creamy airiness to the medium bodied feel, smooth and easy drinkability, a sessionable, gateway APA. Won’t rock your world, but still, a pleasant and balanced APA.
