Commercial Description:
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

12oz bottle acquired in trade. Pour is an amber-orange with a thin head of white lacy cream. Aroma is mild hops mixed with some toasty malts. Nice enough. Flavor shows off more of the hops but the malts do appear as more caramel-y in the finish. A nice little pale ale.

12 oz bottle in Maui and on tap at the brewery on Hawaii. Light copper pour with small white head. Hop and caramel malt aroma. Taste is malty with some citrus hop flavors. Finishes with a hoppy bitterness. Medium bodied mouthfeel.

On tap at the St. Louis Art Festival. Pours an orange amber color with a full rocky white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and hop flowers. Delicious pale and toasted malt sweetness along with a dry hopped bitterness and slight citrus flavor. Hopped more like an IPA, but very good and well balanced.

I thought this one was pretty good. Copper color and a nice, floral, hoppy aroma. The hops in the flavor was just right for a pale ale. I would buy this one again.

Poured a hazy copper color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, pine, spices, and floral hops. Taste of pine and citrus, caramel malt, grapefruit, spices, and a dry finish.

A wonderful beer when you don’t want to be bulldozed by an arrogant bastard. I love this stuff and I love the AB as well. There is no "best" beer. In the right time and place, they all have their merits. ~S
