Added to my RB list to check "Hawai’i" as a beer state consumed. Modest pale ale from a rare beer state. Average pale with some shadows of Sierra Nevada’s classic. But they’re just shadows. Bready and malty with a kick of hops thrown in.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2007 Bottle... Poured an amber color with an easy forming head. This beer had too much of an emphasize on malt. More like an amber ale to me. It was ok, but I need more hops. keith0718 (159), Olathe, Kansas, USA

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Bottled. Light dusty grain aroma, with a bit of old paper and some pear skin. Mild butter. Amber-orange clear with quickly dissipating head. Watery body with medium-high carbonation. Starts rather dry with neutral fruit malt sweetness, a bit of light brown sugar, and sort of a malt liquor undertone. Light bitter nutty finish with dry after. Sweet and biscuity. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Bottle. Fairly dark amber color... amost brown with a half finger of head on top. Aromas are of caramel malt, pineapple and some citrus hops. Flavor tends to the malty/caramel side of the specturm that is present in the nose... and while the hops are there, they don’t come through crisply. Very nicely balanced, especially given the malt heavy body.
