Kona Hula Hefeweizen

When I finally found the brewery(I forgot my my map and the address back at the room) I had a nice glass of Hefe. Slightly hazy golden body, white head with good lacing, banana/clove nose. Flavor of spices, banana, and wheat. Very Enjoyable.

Had on tap after a tour of the place while vacationing in Hawaii. This was one of their better beers for sure.

On tap at Koko Marina. This was my favorite beer at the brewpub, and the best hefeweizen I think I’ve ever tried. Poured a hazy yellow with a one finger white head. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Flavor had the characteristic banana/clove flavor, balanced with a lot of citrus fruit flavors. Great beer.

From the tap at the Koko Marina brewpub, poured a hazy golden color with a small head. Great fruity refreshing flavor with a quick finish.

Tap. Sweet banana/orange and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy yellow-amber color with small head. Banana/orange and wheat malt flavor. Very well made - a very good Hefe.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky yellow with a big head. Aroma is wheat, banana and a hint of spice. Mouthfeel is lively with lots of carbonation. Flavor is much like the aroma. This is a very good traditional German Hefe.

On tap, Koko Marina. Poured a murky pale yellow. Light aroma of wheat and malt. Flavor of spices, banana, and wheat. Body is medium-thick, nice and bold. Enjoyable, overall.

A good German Hef here. I was expecting it to be more in the American style without the bold yeast flavors. I was pleasantly surprised when I found the banana/clove flavors were quite apparent. Good solid refreshing Hef here.
